Smart Cities, Technology & Startups: Spotlight on SmartTraffic & SmartHealth and the Impacts on Citizens
“Smart Cities” is alternately 1) a hard-to-define buzzword and 2) a trillion dollar global market full of opportunities for startups. Too often, people focus on new, shiny technologies rather than the problems that the new, shiny technologies can help cities solve. This interactive discussion will tackle questions like: what does “smart cities” actually mean? Why should citizens and startups care? It will include inspiring examples from the transportation and health sectors, as well as discussions of untapped opportunities in the smart cities market, plus advice for startups.
